Hi, I’m Dr. monvela Makor.
Dr. Monvelea Makor's journey in eye care began in the heart of Dallas, Texas. With a passion for blending technology and healthcare, she nurtured her curiosity at Southern Methodist University, where she studied Electrical Engineering with a focus on Biomedical Sciences. Her thirst for knowledge led her to Texas Woman's University, where she cultivated her business acumen, earning an MBA to complement her scientific expertise.
Driven by a desire to make a difference in people's lives, Dr. Makor found her true calling in optometry. She flourished at the Western University of Health Sciences School of Optometry, where her dedication and skill earned her certification from The National Board of Examiners in Optometry. Now, as a proud member of the American Optometric Association, she brings her warmth and expertise to the sunshine state of California.
Dr. Makor's commitment to compassionate care blossomed during her diverse training experiences. From serving our nation's heroes at the Doris Miller Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Waco, to honing her skills at prestigious institutions like the United States Naval Medical Center and Gordon Schanzlin New Vision Institute in San Diego, she embraced every opportunity to grow. Her time at the Optometric Vision Development Center further kindled her passion for nurturing healthy vision in patients of all ages.
When she's not dedicating herself to her patients, Dr. Makor finds joy in maintaining a balanced life. She energizes herself through invigorating workouts, cherishes precious moments with her loving family, and broadens her horizons through travel. These experiences not only rejuvenate her spirit but also enrich the empathy and understanding she brings to each patient interaction.
My Approach
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Dream it
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest.
Build it
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
